the apartment we’re staying at this month is amazing. i might never leave. it’s big and sunny and wood floors and big open windows. and an awesome sound system to boot.
the only love/hate is the giant big flatscreen staring at me. at home i don’t have a television that’s connected to anything. no cable tv, no any tv. it’s never on. but when i hang at home with my parents, they have comcast TV and i spend 16 hours a day glued to jersey shore. home is the only place i become a regular fat TV-watching american, guzzling cans of pop and snacks and drooling over on-demand. i hope that doesn’t happen to me here.
oy vey. back from a quick weekend trip up to seattle. i’m so tired.
one of my favorite memories from the weekend was trying to drag mark away from this annoying shirtless asian magician man in tight leather pants and knee high converse. this guy was on granville island doing some stupid “5 canadian dollar bill turns into a 10 canadian dollar bill” trick or something like that and mark wouldn’t move. all of a sudden i felt a heavy raindrop on my head and i knew.
so yeah, some canadian bird took a dump on my head. on the plus side this finally got mark to abandon the stupid magician guy. on the negative side i had to wash my hair upon my return stateside.
